Terms of Use (EULA)
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the AI Diet mobile application (“AI Diet”, “the app”, “we”, “us”) operated by Scott Bruton. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. The service
AI Diet provides meal planning, food logging, nutrition estimates, and optional AI-assisted suggestions. The app is for general informational and lifestyle purposes only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, clinical, or professional dietary advice.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be old enough to use the App Store / Google Play services in your region.
3. Auto-renewable subscriptions
AI Diet offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions (for example Basic, Plus, and Premium) billed through Apple’s App Store or Google Play, as applicable. Subscription title, length, and price are shown in the app’s Plan & Usage screen and in the store purchase sheet before you confirm.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel in your device’s subscription settings (Apple: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions).
- Any unused portion of a free trial, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Store refunds and billing disputes are handled under Apple’s or Google’s policies.
4. Consumable purchases
The app may offer consumable in-app purchases (for example additional meal or food-scan allowances). These are also processed by Apple or Google and are subject to their terms.
5. AI-generated content and allergies
AI features may suggest meals, recipes, snacks, or nutrition estimates. Output can be incomplete or incorrect. You must review every ingredient for allergies, intolerances, and medical dietary needs before eating. Do not rely on the app to detect or avoid allergens. If you have an allergic reaction or other medical emergency, seek emergency care immediately.
6. Health calculations
Metrics such as BMI, BMR, suggested calorie intake, and macro targets are estimates based on formulas and information you enter. They are not a diagnosis or treatment plan. See in-app Sources / Citations for references. Consult a qualified health professional before making significant diet or health changes.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, abuse AI endpoints, or use the app in violation of law. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or violate these Terms.
8. Privacy
How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for decisions you make based on app content (including AI suggestions or calorie/macro estimates). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under law.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes to subscription terms will be communicated as required by the stores.
